Four out of five trips to Murphy I find myself turning around and heading back to Atlanta after another disappointing experience. After a 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive up from Atlanta to cash in on my 'promos', all seats at the Blackjack tables are taken. My mailbox is always in receipt of 'incentives' and 'promos' to steer my visits to this property. His goal is the bottom-line, and that is it! Even his employees complain about him and other managers openly to guests. He obviously does not care about customer dissatisfaction. Where does one start? First of all, letters to 'Lumpy' Lampkin, the General Manager, go nowhere.
There is a rudeness and arrogance displayed by this property that makes one ask themselves, why do I bother? The answer is that they are the only game around for hundreds of miles, with the exception of their Cherokee property that is only a half step above this one. How disappointing! Maybe it is just their way of getting back at the White man for centuries of abuse? The one thing that will be obvious to any guest, is the lack of customer service from one end of the property to the other. The Tribal management of this Harrah's brand is not at all close to being up to Caesar's standards. Having been a guest of Caesar's Entertainment over the last 4 decades, I have experienced many Caesar's properties.
